Tokayev meets with Guinea-Bissau President Umaro Sissoco Embaló

Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with President of Guinea-Bissau Umaro Sissoco Embaló within the COP29 climate summit in Baku, Azerbaijan, Kazinform News Agency cites Akorda.

During the meeting, Tokayev called Guinea-Bissau as one of the key partners of Kazakhstan in Africa. The Kazakh leader also confirmed the commitment of Astana to greater friendly ties and mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.

Tokayev pointed out that Kazakhstan is an open state with a peaceful policy and the largest economy in the region. The head of state stressed that the two countries have good prospects for partnership.

According to the Kazakh leader, Kazakhstan and Guinea-Bissau can promote cooperation in agriculture, logistics and information and communication technologies despite the geographical distance.

In turn, Umaro Sissoco Embaló expressed gratitude to the Kazakh President for the opportunity to discuss the promotion of bilateral relations.

In conclusion, President Tokayev invited Umaro Sissoco Embaló to pay an official visit to Kazakhstan at his convenience.
