KAZINFORM - The Congress of leaders of world and traditional religions is a unique platform bringing together religious leaders, authoritative word of which will help relieve the tension between religions and civilizations. This has been stated at a meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress in Astana by the chairman of the Presidium of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the European part of Russia and of the Council of Muftis of Russia Ravil Gainutdin.

"10 years ago, in September 2003, on the initiative of the esteemed President Nursultan Nazarbayev in Astana, for the first time was held the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. During the past decade, Congress has repeatedly proved its relevance, has established itself as a important platform for the dialogue of cultures and civilizations. This is truly a unique platform bringing together religious leaders, authoritative word of which will contribute to alleviating tensions between religions and civilizations. On behalf of the Council of Muftis of Russia I congratulate Kazakhstan on this important milestone - the decade of the Congress, " said the representative of the Russian Federation.
