Tourism and Investments Forum kicks off in Beijing

The Tourism and Investments Forum kicked off in Beijing as part of the Year of Kazakhstan Tourism in China, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Opening the forum, the Kazakh Tourism and Sports Minister, Yermek Marzhikpayev, noted the two countries eye the growth in tourist flows.

He said tourist arrivals are expected to rise taking into consideration the agenda of the Year of Tourism, a visa-free regime and an increase in direct flights.

The Minister said Kazakhstan is open to investments and is ready to provide investors with support and information for the successful realization of tourism projects.

Kazakh Tourism National Company JSC CEO Kairat Sadvakassov presented the country’s potential at the forum.

Representatives of the Tourism and Sports Ministry, akimats of several regions and cities, and national companies will present the country’s tourist potential, prospects for the development of transborder tourism, and investment opportunities in the sphere of tourism at the panel session of the forum.

Kazakh and Chinese tour operators will also attend B2B negotiations.

As earlier reported, 2024 was declared the Year of Kazakhstan Tourism in China.
