The ATOM Project (Abolish Testing Our Mission) is an international campaign designed to do more than create awareness surrounding the human and environmental devastation caused by nuclear weapons testing. The ATOM Project hopes to affect real and lasting change by engaging millions of global citizens to permanently stop nuclear weapons testing by joining together to show the world's leaders that the world's citizens deserve and demand a world without nuclear weapons testing. Karipbek Kuyukov is the Honorary Ambassador of the ATOM Project and a 2nd generation victim of Soviet nuclear tests, acclaimed armless artist. Ambassador-at-Large Roman Vassilenko is a career diplomat, who joined the foreign service in 1996. Prior to this, he served as Deputy Director of the Nazarbayev Center, a multifunctional state institution in 2012-2013, and Chairman of the Committee for International Information, Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2009-2012.
