Trade-economic contacts between Kazakhstan and Hungary discussed in Budapest

ASTANA. November 8. KAZINFORM Kazakh Ambassador to Hungary Rashid Ibrayev met with newly appointed Minister for Rural Development of Hungary Sándor Fazekas -candidate of Fidesz Party which came to power after the last parliamentary elections, the press service of the Kazakh Embassy reports.

The Hungarian side was represented by chairman of the council of deputies of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county Sandor Kovacs, representative of business community and members of the Ministry for Rural Development.

The current state and prospects for development of the cooperation between Kazakhstan and Hungary in agriculture as well as measures on extension of trade and economic contacts in the agro-industrial complex were discussed at the meeting.

The sides exchanged views on the issues of holding of the third sitting of the Kazakh-Hungarian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in Astana in 2011.

The participants of the meeting were familiarized with the trends and prospects of development of the Kazakh economy. The Kazakh Ambassador called for the Hungarian side to take active part in realization of infrastructural projects in the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan, including those within the Forced Industrial-Innovative Development Strategy.

Upon the results of the meeting the Hungarian side received information about investment projects realized in the agro-industrial sector of Kazakhstan.
