‘Train of Victory’ moves off to remote villages of Zhambyl region

The campaign is devoted to the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. According to the regional administration, the solemn ceremony has been attended by Governor of the region Karim Kokrekbayev, representatives of executive bodies, reps of the regional branch of Nur Otan party, veterans, reps of NGOs, members of the regional People's Assembly of Kazakhstan. A total of 35 people are on board the train including health and social workers, representatives of veteran and non-governmental organizations, youth, figures of culture and art. The train includes the wagon with food for veterans in the amount of 128 tons. Along the route "Train of Victory" will carry out concerts, organize meetings of veterans and schoolchildren. Doctors and social workers will provide medical and social assistance to veterans. In addition they will distribute food parcels for those in need. The main objective of the campaign is to provide comprehensive medical, financial and advisory assistance to veterans of the war and labor, as well as home front workers. To date, 253 participants of the Great Patriotic War, 2334 persons equated to them, and 7253 war workers live in Zhambyl region.
