Training for Kazakhstan?s OSCE chairmanship to be held in Warsaw

WARSAW. February 16. KAZINFORM Training of skilled diplomats and experts in three main directions of the OSCE assumes great importance in preparation of Kazakhstan to the OSCE chairmanship in 2010. One of the main directions of the Organization?s activity is human dimension, implemented under the mandate of the OSCE Office for democratic institutes and human rights.

In this regard, first specialized training-seminar of ODIHR/OSCE on humanitarian issues, developed by specialists of the Office for the Kazakh chairmanship will be held in Warsaw on February 18-20, 2009, Kazinform reports. Participants will study main directions of the Organization within the framework of "third basket" on security. In particular, detailed presentations on tolerance and non-discrimination, supremacy of law, human rights, gender, democratic governance, elections will be held. Reps of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, Ministry of Culture and Information, the Central Election Commission and the General Prosecutor's Office will take part in training.
