Trans-Caspian pipeline project has a right to exist - Azerbaijan Vice FM

ASTANA. November 23. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Trans-Caspian pipeline project has a right to exist, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Halaf Halofov told a press conference following the 30th meeting of the special working group on developing the Convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea on Wednesday in Astana.

"Azerbaijan is a transit country. If there are any projects related to the Caspian Sea, we are open for cooperation and provision of our opportunities for these projects," he said.

According to him, the Caspian countries have the sovereign right to implement energy and transport and communication projects in the Caspian Sea.
