Turkey, Northern Cyprus to sign agreement on hydrocarbon exploration

BAKU. November 2. KAZINFORM Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will sign an agreement on oil and gas exploration in the TRNC, the Hurriyet newspaper quoted Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz as telling journalists recently; Kazinform refers to Trend.

Yildiz said Turkey also intends to purchase a vessel to carry out 3D hydrocarbon search, which would facilitate oil and gas exploration process.

The Turkish research vessel "Piri Reis" left the port of Urla for the shores of Cyprus to conduct oil and gas exploration and has already completed the first phase of work; Kazinform cites Trend.
