Turkic-speaking countries to hold number of sports and youth events in 2024

A number of sports tournaments,  business and youth forums will be held next year under the auspices of the Organization of Turkic-Speaking States, Kabar Agency reports.

The issues of holding upcoming events were discussed in Azerbaijan at the VII meeting of the ministers for youth and sports of the OTS member states. Kyrgyzstan was represented at the meeting by Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Chyngyz Esengul uulu, the press service of the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic said.

During the meeting, the initiative to create a chess association of Turkic-speaking countries and a Turkish center to stimulate creative youth was supported.

Also, as part of participation in the meeting, Chyngyz Esengul uulu met with Minister of Youth and Sports of Turkey Osman Ashken Bak, Minister of Youth Policy and Sports of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov, Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Farid Fazil oglu Gaibov. The parties held negotiations on further strengthening cooperation within the Organization, implementing previously reached agreements, noting the importance of youth policy in Kyrgyzstan and the role of youth in society.
