Turkic World Charter adopted at OTS summit in Bishkek
The resolution to adopt the Charter of the Turkic World and seven more documents were signed during the 11th summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from the Akorda.
The documents signed include:
1. Declaration of the 11th summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS);
2. Resolution on the green vision of the Turkic World: united sustainable future;
3. Resolution to declare Bishkek city as the OTS digital capital for 2025;
4. Resolution to award Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán with the Supreme Order of Turkic World;
5. Resolution to adopt the Charter of the Turkic World;
6. Resolution to appoint the OTS Deputy Secretary-General;
7. Resolution on the statute on permanent representatives of the OTS;
8. Resolution on the OTS flags.
To note, the 11th OTS summit “Strengthening the Turkic World: Economic Integration, Sustainable Development, Digital Future and Security for All” is underway in the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek. Attending the event are the heads of the OTS member states as well as the leaders of the organization’s observer countries.
Earlier, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev summed up the results of Kazakhstan’s presidency of the OTS.
The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) includes Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan as well as Turkmenistan and Hungary as observer states. The organization is headquartered in Istanbul, Türkiye.
