Turkish company seeks to import 250 thou tons of wheat from Kazakhstan
As part of the visit of the Kazakh delegation led by agriculture minister Aidarbek Saparov to Türkiye, agreements were reached opening up new opportunities for Kazakhstani exports, Kazinform News Agency cites the country’s agriculture ministry.
In particular, Armada Gıda - one of the leading Turkish companies, specialized in agricultural production and export, is keen on increasing the export of lentils from Kazakhstan to Türkiye. The project provides for formation of export consignments of lentils, offering Kazakhstani farmers access to international markets.
A memo to export 250 thousand tons of wheat was signed with Tiryaki Holding, which is engaged in the deep grain processing project in the Kazakh capital.
Zhanatayev also held a meeting with Ahmet Güldal, General Manager of Turkish Grain Board, discussing the issues of boosting supplies of Kazakhstani grain to Türkiye and the possibility of attracting investments in agricultural processing in Kazakhstan.
Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstan and Türkiye signed 2 billion dollars worth of documents in the field of agriculture.
