Another soldier was wounded when the Turkish troops clashed with the group of PKK militants in the rural area of Dicle town of the southeastern province of Diyarbakir, according to the report. The wounded soldier was taken under treatment in a military hospital in Diyarbakir, said the report, adding that security operations are under way in the region, Xinhua reported. The PKK took up arms in 1984 to create an ethnic homeland in southeastern Turkey. Some 40,000 people have been killed in the over-two-decade conflict; Kazinform cites Trend News.
