Turkistan region prioritizes attraction of investments and industrialization, governor Darkhan Satybaldy told a press conference at the central communications service, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the akimat’s press service.
The governor said the region maintained its socioeconomic development growth rates for the past 10 months. The regional gross product reached 3 trillion tenge. Industrial output grew by 2% to make 758 billion tenge. The region prioritizes construction of plants and attraction of investments. He said large enterprises will open in the region soon.
Kazatomprom plans to build a sulphuric acid plant in Sozak district. The investment cost of the project is 100 billion tenge. 250 new jobs will be generated there. The land plot has been already allocated for the construction of the plant.
Key projects will be implemented to boost the region’s industrial potential. 20 projects worth 30.2 billion tenge will provide 594 new workplaces. 10 projects in the manufacturing sector worth 11 billion tenge were commissioned, 384 job were created.
Investments into economy increased by 1.4 times to reach 751 billion tenge. Direct foreign investments rose to 225.3 million. The pool of 194 investments projects up to 3.3 trillion tenge was built to be implemented between 2023-2026 and generate 16,467 jobs. 39 out of 51 investment projects were implemented this year, 1,230 workplaces were created.
