Turkistan region to increase tax revenues by 100bln tenge

Turkistan region plans to implement a number of important projects to increase tax revenues to the budget in the nearest five years by 100 billion tenge, governor of the region Darkhan Satybaldy said at a briefing today, Kazinform News Agency reports.

These are the projects on construction of a step hydroelectric station on the Ugam River, a greenhouse complex in Keles district, an oil products processing plant in Ordabasy district, solar power stations in Otyrar and Sauran districts, a  caustic soda, PVC, calcium carbide, lime cement production plant in Tulkubas district,  a phosphate ore processing plant in Sozak district etc.

The implementation of these projects will let increase tax revenues to the budget in the nearest five years by 100 billion tenge, Darkhan Satybaldy said.

Another 20 projects worth 30.2 billion tenge with the generation of 594 jobs will be implemented in processing sector. 10 projects have already been launched with 384 people employed.

In general, the region observes growth in socio-economic development in 10 months of 2023, the governor says.

Gross regional product hit 3 trillion tenge. Industrial output increased by 2% in the reporting period and reached 758 billion tenge.

He also said Kazatomprom National Company plans to build a sulfuric acid plant in Sozak district as per the requests of uranium producing companies. The investment cost of the project is 100 billion tenge, with 250 jobs to be created.
