Turkiye writes off Kyrgyzstan’s foreign debt
Türkiye has written off Kyrgyzstan's foreign debt. The Republic of Türkiye has canceled the external debt of Kyrgyzstan in exchange for projects of "green economy", Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov said during a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Kabar reports.
The Kyrgyz leader thanked the Turkish president for the decision made following the bilateral talks.
According to official data, the external debt of Kyrgyzstan today amounted to $58.8 million.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has arrived in Bishkek on Nov. 4 for a state visit.
