Turkmenistan to organize international investment forum in Oct

ASHGABAT. April 29. KAZINFORM Ashgabat will host an investment forum on Oct. 15-17 in 2009, an official Turkmen source said. International financial institutions and officials of giant companies will attend the forum, Kazinform refers to Trend News.

Vice Premier K.Muhammedov supervising over a finance sector said this at a governmental meeting, the source said. Turkmenistan is one key natural gas suppliers in the Caspian region and does n or have giant foreign debts. "Our principle is not to take giant loans from other countries. Therefore, Turkmenistan belongs to a group of countries which does not have governmental debts," Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov said in March. The president pointed that the government regulates and supervises over activities of the country's banks which do not have special difficulties while working with foreign loans thanks to it", Kazinform cites Trend News.
