Turks edge Kazakhstan in UEFA EURO 2016 qualifier
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Turkey confidently beat Kazakhstani footballers 3:1 and secured their first Group A win in the UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying match on Sunday (November 16).

As it was expected Fatih Terim's side snatched the initiative and controlled the ball from the first minutes of the match. Burak Yilmaz gave Turkey 2:0 lead in the first period. Yuri Krasnozhan's squad were unable to stop the hosts when Serdar Aziz scored the third goal in the 83rd minute of the match. Captain Samat Smakov scored the consolation goal after Mehmet Topal fouled on Ulan Konysbaev and penalty was awarded. Having taken only one point from four games, Kazakhstan gets the last spot in the Group A. Next time our players will vie against Iceland at home on March 28, 2015.
