Two exhibitions on Astana history open in capital city

ASTANA. June 28. KAZINFORM - Yesterday in Astana in the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan were opened two exhibitions under a common title "Ai - kөrіk Menin Astanam": a book illustrating exposure and a photo exhibition of a famous Russian photographer Vladimir Kurilov.

These events are dedicated to the 15th anniversary of Astana.

The book-illustrated exhibition introduces readers to the history of the capital, Astana, and tells about it as a political, economic and cultural center of Kazakhstan and the world. Here are 130 books about the city.

The photo display features over 70 works of famous camera master V.Kurilov.

The opening ceremony was attended by a famous poet, winner of the literary prize named "Alash" Serik Turgynbekov, members of Parliament, writers, scientists, management and staff of the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the public, residents and visitors.
