U.Shukeyev, Secretary General of International Exhibition Bureau met

ASTANA. March 11. KAZINFORM First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Umirzak Shukeyev has met with Secretary General of the International Exhibition Bureau Vicente Gonzбlez Loscertales today in the Ukimet Uyi, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Prime Minister.

Holding of the international specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana was discussed at the meeting. U.Shukeyev said that the holding of the exhibition in Astana will promote the image of the city and provide further development of Astana. The First Vice Premier noted that the attraction of investments to the construction of EXPO-2017 facilities and the Bureau?s financing will allow the capital city of Kazakhstan to become the leading exhibition area not only in the Central Asian region but in the CIS as well. U.Shukeyev affirmed the interest of Kazakhstan in participation in the EXPO-2010 in Shanghai and holding of the EXPO-2017 in Astana and expressed assurance in solution of all issues of its organization and holding on the highest qualitative level. Vicente Gonzбlez Loscertales complimented Astana and the dynamics of its development and noted that Kazakhstan has all chances to get the right for holding of the EXPO-2017. He also assured that the issue will be considered in the International Exhibition Bureau. U.Shukeyev charged to establish special working group on development of action plan of Kazakhstan on filling of Astana?s application for organization an holding of the EXPO-2017.
