UAE proposes Kazakhstan to build USD 85 mln modular plant
AKTAU. KAZINFORM Governor of the Mangystau region Alik Aidarbayev met with Empereal Company managing director Manoj Divakaran who proposed to build a modular station to generate electricity using solar and thermal energy and to desalt water.
It takes 12-15 months to build such a plant. It may generate 10 mln liters of water and 150 MW of electric energy a day. The project cost is USD 85,5 mln.
"Such investment projects were realized in nine countries of the world. The aim is to reduce environmental burden, ensure energy security and create new workplaces. We guarantee to preserve fixed tariffs for 20-25 years. We propose a long-term project," Mr Divakaran said.
Besides, he stressed that if the company builds the plant it also plans to open a research centre in Aktau at the ground of one of the universities.
