UFC 296: Kazakhstani Rakhmonov wins over Thompson ahead-of-time

Kazakhstan’s undefeated welterweight fighter Shavkat Rakhmonov (17-0) held his sixth UFC fight, Kazinform News Agency reports via Sports.kz. 

Rakhmonov fought vs. American Stephen Thompson (17-6-1) at the UFC 296 held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (USA). The bout ended with Rakhmonov’s win by submission in the second round.

This became Shavkat Rakhmonov’s 18^th victory in his professional career, and Stephen Thompson’s seventh defeat.

Earlier in March, Rakhmonov fought American Geoff Neal (15-5) and defeated him by submission in the third round.
