UK: 55% of Britons believe Brexit was a mistake, survey finds

Five years after the UK left the EU, a YouGov poll reveals that 55 percent of British citizens consider Brexit a mistake, compared to just 30 percent who still think it was the right choice, Agenzia Nova reports.

Furthermore, 62 percent see Brexit as more of a failure than a success, while only 11 percent have the opposite opinion. Even among those who voted to leave, 18 percent now admit it was the wrong decision, although 66 percent still defend it.

For those who voted “Remain”, the verdict is even more clear-cut: 87 percent define Brexit as a failure and just 3 percent as a success. Young people between 18 and 24, who were unable to vote in 2016, are now the most critical: 75 percent believe that the United Kingdom made a mistake in leave the EU.
