UK school students celebrate Nouruz
Kanat Auesbay and Bayan Zhalgasbekkyzy study in the UK under the presidential program "Bolashak" at the University of East Anglia. They came here together with their six-year old son, Yeraly last year, who became a primary school student. "We wanted to introduce the British to the Kazakhs' traditions and culture. Our son studied here one year. Soon we are leaving the country. We want to leave a long memory about Kazakhstan and the holiday Nouruz ", says Yeraly's father.
According to the scenario, the guests were served with real Kazakh baursaks , talkhan, kurt and the most holiday delicacy, Nouruz cake. In addition, the Kazakh family showed a video about Kazakhstan, Astana and national traditions. The spouses told the children about their homeland. The students asked questions about Kazakhstan. Then they listened to the famous song "Elim Menin " performed by the father and his son.
