Ukraine's GDP to reduce by 15% in 2009
WASHINGTON. August 19. KAZINFORM /Aliya Altyngazina/ Ukraine is among the countries experiencing deepest recession.
The World Bank experts forecast reduction of the country's GDP by 15% in 2009.
According to the Government's data, there was 20.3% decline in the first quarter. In the second quarter decline rates slowed down and the index reached 18%.
On the basis of the latest data on industrial production growth economists come to a conclusion on beginning of the country's withdraw from the crisis. Next year the World Bank expects 1% expansion of economy.
