Ukrainian president approves new cabinet

KIEV. December 24. KAZINFORM Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych on Monday approved a new cabinet led by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, the presidential press office said.

Azarov was reappointed as the prime minister by the parliament on Dec. 13.

The 64-year-old Azarov, an ally of President Yanukovych, has been premier since Yanukovych was elected president in February 2010, Xinhua reports.

Sergey Arbuzov, a former National Bank chief, was appointed the first deputy prime minister and former presidential advisor Elena Lukash was named as the minister of Cabinet.

Former Energy and Coal Minister Yury Boyko and former head of eastern Dnepropetrovsk Region State Administration Oleksandr Vilkul were appointed as two deputy prime ministers.
