Umirzak Shukeyev introduced new head of Kazatomprom to staff
Addressing the audience, the head of «Samruk-Kazyna» JSC told about the professional qualities of Nurlan Kapparov. Umirzak Shukeyev noted that Mr. Kapparov has experience in the energy industry as he served as Vice-Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan. «Yesterday at the Government meeting Nursultan Nazarbayev proposed to appoint Nurlan Kapparov as Chairman of the Board of JSC «NAC» Kazatomprom». His candidacy has been already approved by the Board of Directors of the company. Hopefully he can continue the successful work of Kazatomprom and contribute to the dynamic innovative growth of the company,» the head of the Fund told. As Mr. Shukeyev noted, Nurlan Zhambulovich - professional and trained person, he is known as a talented senior manager and a decent man. «I think all of these qualities will help him to achieve great success,» the head of «Samruk-Kazyna» told. Personnel changes in the company have been made following the reform of public administration on August 6, 2014.The key role of the updated Government goes to the newly created Department of Energy, which is headed by the former head of Kazatomprom Vladimir Shkolnik. CEO of the Fund drew attention that Mr. Shkolnik has been appointed to this position as it requires his talent of strategist and manager, as well as the ability to build strong team. «Vladimir Sergeyevich headed Kazatomprom over five years and during this period the company has become the first largest uranium producer in the world and developed many new areas such as rare-earth industry and solar power. We can say, Mr. Shkolnik showed himself as a progressive leader. Therefore, his merits as chairman of the board of Kazatomprom is difficult to overestimate,» U.Shukeyev told. The head of «Samruk-Kazyna» also noted that in future Kazatomprom and «Samruk-Kazyna» Fund will closely work in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy. « I would like to thank everyone for supporting an innovative course set by the Head of our State, doing quality work and everything that depends on you. I am sure that all the tasks given to the company, «Samruk-Kazyna» Fund will be executed, and Kazatomprom will remain prosperous and successful company,» Vladimir Shkolnik told.
