Richard Falk told a news conference at the UN that there was no evidence to suggest that the current Israeli government is committed to a just and sustainable solution.

"I believe that there is no current evidence that the present government of Israel is committed to a just and sustainable solution to the conflict that accords the Palestinian people their fundamental rights under international law, including right to self-determination and some just disposition of the refugee issue. The process is not neutral as far as the Palestinians are concerned. They are told not to object to settlements during the process of negotiations that that will all be handled at the end, but the end never comes." said Richard Falk, UN Special Rapporteur Human Rights.
