UN-sanctioned global anti-crisis conference to take place in Astana

ASTANA. March 15. KAZINFORM Organizers of the VI Astana Economic Forum told about the events that are expected to be held within its framework.

President of the Eurasian Economic Club of Scientists Association Murat Karimsakov mentioned about 60 events of various formats that were going to take place. This year the forum will pay special attention to the prospects of global economic growth and raw materials prices in 2013; infrastructure and innovative technologies; competitiveness at the international markets; social aspects of economic growth; financial systems, global risks and measures to avoid them.

ASTEX-2013 expo, a global conference on "Modernization of the public service: raising effectiveness aimed at sustainable growth", the Eurasian Business Congress "Kazakhstan's accession to the WTO: interests and opportunities for business", the 2nd Central Asian Business Women Congress, the 8th Innovative Congress, "AstanaInvest" Forum and other events are set to be held.

"The Global Leaders Dialogue will crown the event. This is a roundtable with the participation of the global experts, politicians, and Nobel Prize winners. The relevant issues concerning the development of modern economy are to be tabled," M. Karimsakov explained.

In addition, Astana will host an international conference on the global economic crisis. The World Anti-Crisis Conference which will be held in conjunction with the VI Astana Economic Forum, is an initiative of President Nazarbayev. The UN-sanctioned conference will mainly focus on the problem of ensuring long-term economic growth.

Both the Astana Economic Forum and the World Anti-Crisis Conference are sponsored by the Eurasian Economic Club of Scientists Association, 14 ministries of Kazakhstan, the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the "Samruk-Kazyna" Fund, the United Nations Organization, the World Economic Forum, the World Intellectual Property Organization, Club de Madrid and so on.
