Unemployment decreased in Feb 2011 - Statistics Agency

ASTANA. March 14. KAZINFORM Unemployment rate in Kazakhstan decreased in February 2011. As the Statistics Agency informs, the number of employed people the last month was 8.1 that is 38, 400 higher against the same period in 2010 (0.5% growth)

As for the unemployed, their number in February made 493, 800 or 5.8%. "51, 500 people were registered in employment bodies of the Labor and Social Protection Ministry in late February", a press release reads.

Thus, the share of unemployed people made 0.6% of the working population while the last month it was 0.9%.
