Unemployment in W Kazakhstan decreased by 28.6%

URALSK.  November 20. KAZINFORM  /Gaisagali Yeraly/ The number of unemployed people in West Kazakhstan oblast was reduced by 28.6%. As of November 1, 2009 2,397 people have been registered at the employment offices of the region, statistics department informs. Compared to the similar period in 2008, the index is lower by almost 30%.

The majority of the unemployed (1,746 people) live in rural areas. The number of jobless women is higher than the number of unemployed men (60%).

Since the beginning of the year 21,799 people have applied to employment offices. 2.066 people were sent for retraining courses. 7,651 people are involved in social work.
