Unemployment level in Spain reaches 15-year high

The number of unemployed people in Spain increased 68,260 in February, taking the total number of jobless to 4.3 million.

Employment Minister Valeriano Gomez said that both January and February were traditionally bad months for employment in Spain.

The country's service sector was the hardest hit as 39,569 people have lost their jobs in that area of the economy. Agriculture also suffered badly in February, with 8,614 agricultural workers filing for unemployment benefits.
