Unemployment level made up 6.3% - Gulshara Abdykalikova

ASTANA. November 20. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ Following the results of the third quarter the unemployment level has made up 6.3 percent against 6.9 percent of the first quarter. Minister of Labor and Social Protection Gulshara Abdykalikova has announced it at the II International Forum "Professional education and business: dialog of partners" held in Astana.

The Minister noted that it is a good result and voiced other data on the labor sphere in the republic. "There are 535.000 people in the country, who are unemployed, and it decreased by 40.000 persons against the first quarter", she emphasized.

Gulshara Abdykalikova reminded that forecasts of large release of workers were not confirmed, and the plans on economy stabilization demonstrated significant mobilization effects at the labor market. "It led to strengthening state control and business stimulation, compliance with measures on employment maintenance, which are foreseen by the labor legislation, conclusion of memorandums with employers on prevention of mass dismissals", the Minister said.
