Joint cooperation issues, life's quality, social disparity, development of the effective and economically fruitful social security model and quantity education access were discussed at the meeting, the press service of the East Kazakhstan region reports.
J. Kukita noted that he had been working in Kazakhstan for 20 years. East Kazakhstan and UNICEF cooperate from 2005. And that is one of the most successful examples of cooperation. In 2005 Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semey joined "A Child Friendly Cities" group. That is why the joint action plan is aimed at improving children's rights, interests and their well-being.
Such new initiatives as the introduction of per capita financing and financing of school in general will be realized in the educational process. In addition, the integration of social services for prevention of possible abandonment of a child will be implemented. This means that healthcare, social protection, education and law enforcement systems should work together to make sure that mother will not abandon her child.
Another important innovation is the prevention of the suicide among teenagers. An international expert from Italy was invited to train Kazakhstani professionals. The seminars are aimed at detecting and preventing suicides.
