Unified rules for AI usage to be created in Kazakhstan
Majilis deputies of the Kazakh Senate have adopted the bill "On artificial intelligence" and related amendments, Kazinform News Agency reports.

According to MP Nurtay Sabilyanov, these bills were initiated by deputies of the Majilis.
“The bills are aimed at establishing a unified legal framework for the use of artificial intelligence technologies. The main bill defines the legal and organizational basis for regulating the provision of security transparency in the field of AI. Features of the use of AI technologies by state bodies and quasi-state organizations, rights and obligations of subjects in the field of AI,” said Nurtay Sabilyanov.
According to him, the accompanying draft law provides for the protection of consumer rights in relation to products using AI, the protection of personal data used by AI systems, and the security of distribution of mass media products created by AI systems. It also provides for administrative responsibility of owners or proprietors of AI systems.
As reported earlier, Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has stated that the use of AI can make up a big part of the total load on the power system as well as lead to environmental impact.
