Unique sabers and coins discovered in Akhsikent
Unique sabers, coins of ancient Bactria and China, and a priceless book by Abu Nasr Farabi were found in Namangan, UzA reports.
The number of priceless exhibits in the New Akhsi complex on the territory of the Akhsikent Archaeological Park has increased by another ten copies.
According to experts, the saber, which dates back to the 11th century, is in good condition. The blacksmiths of Akhsikent made it of solid steel. The second weapon, which dates back to the 14th century, was worn by the close warriors of Amir Temur.
The Bactrian coin dates back to 475-600 years, and the Chinese coin dates back to the 19th century, studied in detail by historian Sherali Kuldashev.
“Hieroglyphs are depicted on the coin. It is difficult to read what is written in the coin’s center”, says Sh. Kuldashev. “In addition, three unique books are devoted to science, enlightenment, philosophy, and history. Studying them will allow us to gain invaluable information”.
