University of Cantabria ready to collaborate with Kazakh educational institutions

ASTANA. November 17. KAZINFORM Kazakh Ambassador to Spain Yergali Bulegenov met with the authorities of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria to debate the prospects for the development of interregional relations in the area of politics, economics and culture, the Kazakh MFA's press service said.

On November 9-10 Bulegenov met with president of the Cantabria Government Ignacio Diego Palacios to discuss urgent issues of Kazakh-Spanish cooperation. The parties stressed the need of deepening trade and economic ties.

The Kazakh envoy had talks with president of the Parliament of Cantabria Jose Antonio Cagigas. The Spanish parliamentarian highly appreciated Kazakhstan's achievements in promoting the ideas of tolerance and interfaith consent, the way towards consistent harmonization of the national legislation up to the international standards.

In a meeting with rector of the University of Cantabria Federico Salcedo the sides debated the prospects of Kazakh-Spanish cultural and humanitarian cooperation and opportunities for tuning up the ties between the University of Cantabria and one of the Kazakh educational institutions.
