URGENT: 13 killed, 86 injured in Zhanaozen clashes

ASTANA. December 18. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ "According to the present data, 13 people were killed and 86 were injured in the mass riots in Zhanaozen town," official spokesman for the Kazakh Prosecutor General's Office Nurdaulet Suindikov told a briefing.

According to him, on the night of the 16/17 December 70 the most active participants of the mass riots were detained, 8 of them were arrested. About 60 people were detained for breaking the curfew.
