URGENT: About 35,000 people left without heating due to accident at TPP-5 in S Kazakhstan
SHYMKENT. February 6. KAZINFORM /Tatyana Pylayeva/ About 35 thousand people were left without heating because of the accident at the thermal power plant-5 in Kentau town of South Kazakhstan region.
The accident deprived of heat residents of 326 apartment buildings and more than one thousand private houses.
According to deputy governor of Kentau town Makhmut Konyssov, one of the boilers o the station was launched, the line was not frozen.
The region's leadership left for Kentau, there was established a headquarters for elimination of the accident consequences, which is headed by South Kazakhstan region governor Askar Myrzakhmetov. Minister of Emergencies Vladimir Bozhko visited Kentau on Sunday. It is expected that the Ministry will comment the situation today in Astana.
