URGENT: criminal case opened on the facts of mass disorders in Mangystau region

ASTANA. December 16. KAZINFORM Mass riots took place today in the town of Zhanaozen in Mangystau region as a result of criminal actions of a group of persons, the press service of the Kazakh General Prosecutor's Office reports.

A criminal case was opened on the facts of the mass disorders on the central square of the town. An investigation and operational group with Kazakh Interior Minister in charge was set up.
