URKER 2024 national prize winners awarded in Astana
Winners of URKER 2024 national prize in print, radio and online journalism were awarded in Astana’s Kazmedia Center today, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The competition was held in 12 nominations, with a total of 400 works submitted. The best works were selected by the jury, which included prominent journalists and media managers.
The winners of the prize are:
• Nurlan Urazgaliyev from Inbusiness.kz - Best Interview of the Year;
• Yuliya Abramova from Nur.kz - Best Report of the Year;
• Xeniya Yevdokimenko from Time.kz - Best Article on Social Topic;
• Nurlat Baigenzhe from Astana Aqshamy newspaper – Best Journalistic Investigation of the Year;
• Timur Nitaliyev from Ulysmedia.kz – Best Analytics of the Year;
• Kymbat Doszhan from Kazakh radio – Best Radio Project;
• Sali Sabirov from Olympic.kz – Best Photo of the Year;
• Abai.kz – Best News Portal of the Year;
• Nash Kostanay newspaper – Best Regional Media of the Year;
• Torgyn Ashenova from Omby Qazaqtary newspaper - Best Article about Kazakhstan in International Media;
• NeQuryltay - Best Podcast of the Year;
• Sayahat Time - Best YouTube Channel of the Year;
Kazakhstan’s URKER national prize which is awarded for the achievements in print, radio and internet journalism was established in 2017 to identify talented journalists and creative teams, to recognize their contribution to the development of professional journalism and attraction of public attention to their creativity.
The organizers of the prize are the Ministry of Culture and Information and Media Damytu Qory corporate fund. The event sponsors are Kazakhstan TV and Radio Channel and Khabar Agency.
