US and China reach historic climate deal
BEIJING. KAZINFORM - The leaders of the US and China say they have reached agreement on an unprecedented plan on greenhouse gas emissions.

At talks in Beijing both leaders say they support a plan to cut emissions by 2030. It's just one of several agreements struck at the talks, the first formal discussions between the two leaders in more than a year. China says it will aim for a peak in CO2 gas emissions before 2030, while the US will try to reduce its emissions by a quarter by 2025. Observers say the agreement will encourage other countries to sign up to a new global pact to be negotiated in Paris next year. Other deals struck in Beijing relate to trade, military cooperation and travel visas. Source: Euronews
