US Government to continue coop with Kazakhstan within ?Fight against drugs? program: D. Petraeus

ASTANA. January 15. KAZINFORM First Deputy Director of the Frontier Service of the Kazakh National Security Committee, Lieutenant-General Marat Mazhitov has met with Commander of the US Central Command David Petraeus today, Kazinform refers to the Committee?s press service.

The parties exchanged opinions on bilateral cooperation of the Frontier Service of the National Security Committee with the US Armed Service within ?Fight against drugs? program. David Petraeus highlighted that the US Government welcomed establishment of coast guard service in Kazakhstan. ?The US Government will continue cooperation with Kazakhstan within ?Fight against drugs? program for countering drugs traffic in the Caspian Sea zone and other regions of Kazakhstan?
