US National Military College delegation visits Kazakh Defense Ministry
ASTANA. May 12. KAZINFORM. A delegation of the US National Military College, which arrived in Kazakhstan to learn about the political, military and economic development of Central-Asian region, has visited the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan today; Kazinform refers to the Ministry?s press office.

The guests were received by Deputy Director of the Department of Military Education and Science of the Defense Ministry Dauren Kenzhebayev. He noted that Kazakhstan?s Military Doctrine adopted in March 2007 envisages international military cooperation as an instrument of ensuring regional security.
Enhancement of cooperation with the USA in the issues of technical modernization of the Armed Forces, transfer of military technologies, development of military infrastructure reflects priority directions of the doctrine.
It is evident that the Kazakh and US defense ministries have achieved a high level of cooperation. Recently they have signed a regular cooperation plan for 2012 that provides with realization of a number of military technical programs.
Afterwards the delegation and representatives of Kazakhstan?s Army held a briefing on the issues of transformation of the Kazakh Armed Forces and cooperation with the US Army.
