USA expects negative GDP growth in 2009

WASHINGTON. January 8. KAZINFORM /Aliya Altyngazina/ Budgetary Commission of the US Congress announced the country?s economic development forecast in 2009, Kazinform reports.

The law-makers consider the recession that started a year ago will continue in 2009. The GDP growth will be negative, namely - 2.2%. Gradual restoration of economy - expansion by 1.5% ? is expected in 2010. The level of unemployment may reach 9%. Budget deficit with account of expenditures for economy stimulation will hit USD 1.2 trln.
