USA, Finland and Italy want to get observer status in CARICC

ASTANA. March 31. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ The USA, Finland and Italy want to gain an observer status in the Central Asian Regional Information and Coordination Centre for Fighting with Illicit Traffic in Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and their Precursors, Minister of Internal Affairs Baurzhan Mukhamedzhanov has informed at the Government?s sitting today.

According to him, France and Interpol have already got such status. Thus, the UN-led CARICC will allow activating cooperation with the European countries. Secretary General of the UN Ban Ki-Moon and his deputy coordinating the issues on illegal drug traffic, are expected to take part in an official opening of the centre.
