Ust-Kamenogorsk hosts Regional forum of repatriates

First deputy chairman of the World Association of Kazakh people, Mayor of Bayan-Olgy district, deputy of the head of administration for Kosh-Agach municipality and executive secretary of the Kazakh Ministry of Labor take part in the forum.
About 1 mln of ethnic Kazakh people returned to Kazakhstan 46 thousand of which are repatriates of East-Kazakhstan Region.
A regular session of the housing committee on Nurly Kosh Program took place in the middle of December. According to the results 329 repatriates (85 families) became the participants of the program.
Regional program Nurly Kosh for which KZT 27 206.2 mln was allocated is scheduled for 2009-2011. It is planned to receive 200 families of repatriates in Kurchatov this year whereas 362 families are planned to be received in Novoyavlenka village next year. KZT 4 bln was allotted for this purpose. This is a pilot project covering East-Kazakhstan, North-Kazakhstan, South-Kazakhstan Oblasts and Akmola and Kostanay Regions.
According to the regional akimat Mayor of the Region Berdybek Saparbayev will present key from apartments to five families in Kurchatov at the end of the Forum.
It is also expected that the winners of the regional contest among repatriates will be awarded on eight nominations as: The Best Farmer, Businessman, Teacher, Sportsman and etc.
