Uzbek government reshuffled
TASHKENT. November 2. KAZINFORM Uzbek President Islam Karimov signed a decree to dismiss Batyr Khojayev from the post of the Deputy Prime Minister and appointed him the First Deputy Economy Minister, the government reported.
According to Trend , he will act as the First Deputy Economy Minister on the macroeconomic parameters, financial and foreign exchange balance and development of the Republican investment program.
So far, Khojayev worked as the deputy prime minister and as the chairman of the State Committee on Architecture and Construction. Previously, he also acted as the Economy Minister and Chairman of the State Tax Committee.
Khojayev replaced Dilmurod Turdiyev in his new post. Turdiyev was appointed Deputy Economy Minister for demography, social sectors and regions.
The post of Deputy Prime Minister for public utilities, transport, capital construction and building industry is currently vacant.
