Uzbekistan's first Olympic judo champion donates her kimono to IOC Museum
2024 Paris Olympic Games champion Diyora Keldiyorova donated her kimono, which she wore during the competition, to the Museum of the International Olympic Committee, UzA reports.
A conference dedicated to this event was held in the main press center of the competition.
It was attended by Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov, NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov, and the officials of the IOC and the International Judo Federation.
Diyora Keldiyorova became the first Uzbek athlete to win a gold medal at the Summer Olympics. Speakers at the event noted that this result is due to the great attention of the state and the President to the sphere, that the development of women’s sports is entering a new stage. In turn, Diyora expressed her joy at the historic victory, adding that having her kimono in the IOC Museum is a great honor.
