Uzbek President to attend Organization of Turkic States Summit in Astana
At the invitation of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Uzbekistan is expected to pay a working visit to Astana on November 2-3 to attend the 10th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of the Turkic States, Kazinform Agency learnt from the president.uz.
Further development of multilateral cooperation within the Organizations of the Turkic States Summit first of all in trade and economic, investment, transport and communication, ecological, cultural and humanitarian, and other spheres are on the agenda.
The heads of delegations are expected to share views on the pressing issues of the international agenda and regional cooperation. Following the summit, a package of joint documents will be signed.
Notably, this year Uzbekistan chairs the organization. Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Türkiye are members of the Organization of Turkic States. Hungary and Turkmenistan are observer states in the organization.
